FOR DISCORD SERVER ADMINS
Add MySimLeague to your server
You do not need to create a Discord application or have access to the MySimLeague Developer Portal. Install the existing MySimLeague bot, then connect it to the league you manage.
1. Add the bot to your Discord server
- Click Invite MySimLeague to Discord above.
- Sign in to Discord if prompted, then choose Add to server.
- Select the server you manage and click Continue.
- Review the requested permissions and click Authorize.
- Return here after Discord confirms the bot was added.
2. Enable commands
- Sign in to MySimLeague.
- Open My Leagues, select a league you own or administer, and open Admin.
- Click Enable Discord commands.
- Confirm Commands says enabled and shows at least one server.
3. Connect your league
- In league Admin, click Create connection code.
- In Discord, type
/connectand select the MySimLeague command from the popup. - Paste the temporary code into the code field and submit.
- League Admin will change to Used successfully and Server connected.
Codes expire after 15 minutes and work only once. Create a new code if one expires.
4. Connect each member's account
- In the connected server, run
/account link. - Copy the one-time code from the private bot reply.
- Sign in to MySimLeague and open the connected league.
- Enter the code in the Discord account panel on the league overview.
- Run
/account statusto confirm the account, membership, and driver connection.
Account-link codes expire after 10 minutes and work only once. A user must have an approved membership in that league. MySimLeague checks the current membership and driver connection whenever a protected Discord action runs.

/league deliverywith all three options set to true. - Run

Permissions
The invite requests only the Discord access needed for MySimLeague commands and messages: View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Use Application Commands. Public-league schedules, standings, and rosters can be viewed without linking an account. Private-league information requires a connected approved member account. Approved linked members can register, check registration and waitlist status, withdraw, check their attendance status, and check in only their own connected driver. Configuring automated delivery, correcting another driver's registration, managing waitlist order, correcting check-in, swapping drivers, and publishing results require a connected MySimLeague owner or administrator account. Automated delivery runs every five minutes and uses one durable, duplicate-safe event per race update or reminder. Registration, waitlist, and check-in commands use the same rules and records as the website. Administrator changes require a reason and are written to the operations audit. Role changes made on the website take effect the next time a command runs. Connecting the server itself requires Manage Server and a temporary code created by a league owner or administrator.
Troubleshooting
My server is not in Discord’s server list
Make sure you are signed in to the correct Discord account and have Manage Server permission in that server. MySimLeague cannot bypass Discord’s server permissions.
The bot is not in the member list
Use the invite button above and choose Add to server, not Add to my apps. Verify it under Server Settings → Integrations → Bots and Apps. It may appear offline because it uses web interactions.
The slash-command popup does not appear
Confirm the bot is installed, click Enable Discord commands again, then refresh Discord with Ctrl+R. Select the command from Discord’s popup instead of sending it as text.
I see another /league command
The MySimLeague bot offers schedule and standings under /league, plus /connect. Check the application icon before selecting a command.
The code is invalid or expired
Create a new code from league Admin and connect from a server where you have Manage Server permission.
My account-link code is invalid
Run /account link again, then enter the new code while signed in to the same approved league account. Each account-link code expires after 10 minutes and can be used once.
A delivery failed
Confirm the bot can view and send messages in the configured channel, then run /league delivery-retry. Use /league delivery-health after five minutes to confirm recovery. Permanent failures remain visible instead of retrying forever.
Ready to connect?
Install the bot first, then sign in and open your league’s Admin page to finish the connection.
